Joe Mulhern (3/12/2011) based on the S&H cover shot from 1955, I would say the only other 18 year old who ever looked that good was Steve Reeves.
Nelson Eddy (4/10/2010) During the late forties and early fifties I was foutunate enough to have met Glenn while I was with AMG. I never attained the physique that he and other contemporares of his did, I did though enjoy several years of public fame in the "shirt pocket" semi-gay physique magazines. I still have many original prints from that era and have the intention of donating them to a group in Australia that is compiling a website devoted to vintage male physique photography. It was a joy to see many of Glenns photos here.
spikemuscle (2/16/2010) Glenn Bishop and Richard Alan represented the epitome of male physique culture along with Richard DuBois, Clarence Ross and Reg Lewis and Larry Scott. I was literally pushed into the gym and into sports by my desire to emulate these powerfully built men. I can only imagine that I was one of many who was mutally inspired.
kokopelican (1/9/2010) When I was a teenager in the fifties the only male photographs I could find were in physique and bodybuilding magazines. Glenn Bishop was a special favorite of mine. It is wonderful to find some of his photos here.
